Meghan Markle Reveals Her 'Something Blue' From Royal Wedding
Not even Prince Harry knew about it.
When Meghan Markle walked down the aisle on her wedding day, she had a secret that Prince Harry knew nothing about.
Mixed in with the silk and tulle fabric of her 16-and-a-half foot veil was a piece of the navy dress she wore on her first date with her prince.
It was the "something blue" that she incorporated into her wedding day ensemble.
The Duchess of Sussex revealed the secret in “Queen of the World," a new documentary on her grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth.
In the newly released clip, she is reunited with the dress for the first time since the royal wedding in May.
The forthcoming HBO documentary also reveals her wedding gown was directly inspired by the queen's 1953 coronation gown.
The silk veil Markle wore had floral representations of the distinctive flora of all 53 Commonwealth countries.
"It was important for me, especially as a part of the royal family, to have all 53 of the Commonwealth countries incorporated," Markle says in the film. "And I knew that it would be a fun surprise as well for my now husband, who didn't know."
“Queen of the World” will premiere on Oct. 1 on HBO.
