Meghan Markle's American Relatives Host Baby Shower in Her Honor

Her distant relatives gathered for a baby shower fit for a princess.

Meghan Markle’s American relatives are very excited to see her become a mother.

Inside Edition was welcomed to a Georgia baby shower in honor of Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry.

The attendees? Relatives of Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, whose roots lie in Jonesboro, Georgia.

“Strong women run in our family. She's a strong woman and we are very proud of her,” one cousin said of Meghan.

Dorothy Tuck is with the local geological society and showed photos of Meghan's distant relatives and explained she is the descendant of slaves.

“From descendant of slaves to somebody in the royal family,” a cousin said. “It is a great feeling.”

The baby shower had a distinct British flair as traditional finger sandwiches with the crust cut off and tea were served.

There was a trivia game about the royals as well as baby gifts.

Everybody had different thoughts on whether Meghan will have a boy or a girl.

There's one thing they all agree on, though: Meghan is going to be a super mom.
