Meghan Markle's Brother Urges Prince Harry to Cancel Royal Wedding: 'It's Not Too Late'

Thomas Markle tells the prince in a scathing letter that marrying his sister would be "the biggest mistake in royal wedding history."

There is growing outrage sweeping the nation as Meghan Markle's half-brother penned a blistering letter to Prince Harry, coaxing him to cancel the royal wedding.

"It’s not too late Harry," Thomas Markle Jr. writes in the letter, which was obtained by InTouch magazine for its latest issue that hit newsstands Thursday. It was filled with spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.

"Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you," he wrote. "This is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history."

He adds, "It’s very apparent that her tiny bit of Hollywood fame has gone to her head, changing her into a jaded, shallow, conceited [woman], that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage."

Royal expert Victoria Arbiter told Inside Edition she was "appalled" by the letter.

"I thought, 'This can't be real,'" she said. "Aside from the fact that it is a family member writing this, what kind of person you have to wonder is going to do that not only to their sister, but to their sister so publicly a couple of weeks before her wedding? The whole thing to me smacked of ugliness."

His letter is a change from what he told Inside Edition when he spoke to the show last year.

"Prince Harry, you are a really lucky guy to have her," he said at the time. "She is 110 percent. She is just one of a kind and you could not ask for a better woman."

In the letter, the 51-year-old also lashes out at the former "Suits" actress for not inviting members of their family to the wedding.

She and her brother share the same dad.

"Her own father didn’t get an invite," he wrote. “What kind of person starts out by using her own father until he’s bankrupt, then forgets about him in Mexico, leaving him broke over mostly all her debts. My father will never recover financially from paying Meghan’s way, nor emotionally from disavowing him."

Inside Edition has learned, however, that Meghan's father has gotten an invitation to the May 19 royal wedding, and plans to attend.
