Meghan Markle's Estranged Sister Furious as She Doesn't Receive Royal Wedding Invite

Samantha Grant admits that she and Markle aren't particularly close, but says "family is family."

Meghan Markle's half-sister is fuming that she didn't make the cut for the royal wedding.

Samantha Grant is reportedly estranged from Meghan Markle. Grant is wheelchair bound after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Grant, who shares a father with Markle, tweeted Wednesday: “Family is family.”

“At issue is not a matter of closeness as more than 1,000 complete strangers are invited. Family is family," Grant tweeted. "I have an uncle I have only seen once but I would never say he is not family because we are not close. Humanitarians move forward with love and kindness especially to Family."

She's upset that Meghan and Prince Harry invited regular folks to the ceremony as a reward for their community service.

“Smoke and mirrors cannot hide the elephant in the room," Grant said. "Out of respect, tradition, and humanitarianism, the #Markles should be invited if 2000 complete strangers are invited. Our uncle who got her the internship, brother, me, best friend of 30 years Nikki Priddy, nephews. Fact."

In a 2017 interview with Inside Edition, Grant expressed excitement for her sister when she found out she was engaged to Prince Harry.

"For us, it is more like a family thing," she said. "If you are invited to the wedding, you go for the bride and groom."

Before the palace released the guest list Wednesday, Grant was hopeful.

"The Markle family is looking forward to our invites," she tweeted earlier in the week. "I hope London is wheelchair-friendly."

Markle and the prince have invited 2,640 people into the grounds of Windsor Castle. The majority of those invited — 1,200 people — are members of the public, nominated by local Lord Lieutenant Offices.

There are reports that her dad, Thomas, who now lives in Mexico, will walk Markle down the aisle.
