Meghan McCain Says Trump Has 'Emotional Capacity of King Joffrey'
While the TV host took aim at the president after the release of the Mueller report, she relented that Trump's personality does not incriminate him.
Meghan McCain compared the Trump administration — and the president — to "Game of Thrones."
Following the release of a summary of the conclusions of the Mueller report, McCain said she was "exhausted and exacerbated" by media coverage surrounding the investigation and worried that the reaction could get Trump re-elected in 2020.
"Being an American is like being in a sensory deprivation tank," she said on "The View." "Because I don't know what's going on. I have the media telling me he colluded. ... I'm exhausted and exacerbated by media coverage of this because it was hyped so much."
She continued: "I don’t like [President Trump] and I think he has the mental and emotional capacity of King Joffrey in 'Game of Thrones,' but that doesn’t make him a Russian spy."
The report concluded that the Trump campaign did not collude with Russia in the 2016 election, though it did not go so far as to exonerate the president of obstruction of justice.
For his part, Trump spent the weekend at Mar-a-Lago, awaiting for the release of the Mueller report's findings. He played golf with Kid Rock and enjoyed time with his grandchildren.
After the report's findings were released, however, he was jubilant.
"No Collusion, No Obstruction, Complete and Total EXONERATION," he tweeted Sunday. "KEEP AMERICA GREAT!"
