Mom-to-Be Dyes Hair Blue for Gender Reveal
Theresa Coleson always loved dying her hair different colors so when it came time to learn the sex of her baby, she decided to seek the help of a hairstylist friend for a unique gender reveal.
A expectant mother decided to have her hair dyed blue or pink for a gender reveal.
Theresa Coleson always loved dying her hair different colors so when it came time to learn the sex of her baby, she decided to seek the help of a hairstylist friend for a unique gender reveal.
While Coleson sat there with her eyes blindfolded, her friend Tammy dyed her hair blue — for a boy — and then covered it with a top hat. Coleson then doffed the hat at a party to reveal the sex of the baby to her husband. Video from T&T Creative Media showed the sweet moment.
“It was an amazing day and such a unique and fun way to do our gender reveal," she said.
And for those of you who might be worried that Coleson could have harmed her baby-to-be with the hair dying process, she insisted that it's safe.
“After speaking with my OB-GYN and researching, ‘rules’ have changed and dying your hair while pregnant isn’t something that is considered a ‘pregnancy sin’ anymore," Coleson said.
“Though many pregnant women opt to not dye their hair, most research shows the chemicals found in both semi-permanent and permanent dyes are not highly toxic and are safe to use during pregnancy."
