Teen Breaks Guinness World Record With Her Super-Long Hair
Nilanshi Patel, 16, had her hair cut at 6 and hated it.
A bad haircut led a 16-year-old to break a Guinness World Record for longest hair on a teenager.
Nilanshi Patel, 16, had her hair cut at 6 and hated it. From then on, she decided to grow her hair out as long as she could. It’s now 5 feet, 7 inches, the longest hair on a teen in the world.
Hair that length doesn't come without sacrifice. It takes about 30 minutes to dry and an hour to brush every day.
Patel doesn’t mind the inconvenience, though, and her hair earned her the title in the newest 2020 edition of the Guinness World Records book.
She calls her hair her “lucky charm” and says she has no plans to get rid of it.
