An 83-year-old French woman was rescued by police after being locked in her bathroom for six days, according to police.
The woman, who was not identified, was found on Sept. 10 after her niece contacted local authorities in Cotes-d'Armor to report that she had not heard from her aunt in days.
Police immediately responded to the home, where they discovered the woman trapped inside the bathroom.
She was freed and taken for treatment, as she was weak and dehydrated from the ordeal.
It's not clear how the woman became trapped.
