Keith Mounts, 46, is accused of pointing a broad blade at a man’s face and demanding he flush the toilet after using it Saturday, the alleged victim told the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
Mounts allegedly said he would “chop” the man with the machete, which was found in a yard where the confrontation occurred, according to WTVT-TV.
Deputies reportedly said Mounts claimed to be defending himself with the weapon, but was unable to explain why he needed such protection against the alleged victim.
“S*** happens,” Mounts said in part in a statement, WTVT-TV reported.
Mounts was charged with aggravated assault and booked into the county jail on $5,000 bond.
He remained in custody as of Tuesday, online records show.
