Woman Captures 'Ghost Monk' on Camera at British Landmark

She said the experience was eerie.
A visit to a Welsh property resulted in the image of a ghostly figure turning up on one woman’s camera.
Rosie Boulton, 19, said she has seen ghostly orbs before, but nothing like the image she spotted after a late night exploring Tintern Abbey.
Boulton travels to “haunted” locations to snap photos each week, and this time, she may have gotten what she was looking for.
The teen captured what she believes was the ghost of a monk. She spotted it while going through photos after the visit.
Tintern Abbey was founded by the Cistercian monks in the year 1131.
“I was on my own going through the photos and it just freaked me out,” Boulton said. “I called my friend and told her about the photos straight away."
In the image, what appears to be a large, shadowy figure is seen on the outside the abbey.
Boulton also said she felt an eerie vibe while at the ruins at night.
The Black Death of the 1340s claimed the lives of many monks, and some claim to have seen their spirits within the halls of the abbey, lined up and holding torches.
“We felt like someone was coming towards us so we all ran out as we were scared,” she said.
She still plans to visit more ghostly places in the future despite the frightening experience.
