New York Yankees Recreate Scene From 'The Sandlot' In New Ad
"The great bambino!"
As baseball season approaches, some New York Yankees players reenact the famous Babe Ruth scene from the classic 1993 baseball movie The Sandlot, and it's something to see.
Why Mo'Ne Davis wants baseball player to get a second chance.
The video was posted on MLB.com with outfielder Brett Gardner playing the role of Scotty Smalls who tells the rest of the gang he brought a ball to use that was signed by Babe Ruth. To make matters worse, Smalls reveals he may have lost the ball, and he thought Babe Ruth was a woman!
Fellow Yankee players CC Sabathia, Jacoby Ellsbury, Didi Gregorius, Dellin Betances and Brian McCann joined in as the rest of the Sandlot crew.
Their acting skills may not be a homerun, but we give them credit for taking a swing at it!
