Regis Hasn't Seen Kelly Ripa Since Their Final Show
And he's fine with that.
They seemed like best buds, sitting next to each other for 10 years as co-hosts of their popular daytime TV show. They even made commercials as a team!
But in a surprising new interview, the legendary Regis Philbin is revealing he hasn't spoken to Kelly Ripa since the day he left the show in 2011, four years ago!
This is what he told Hoda Kotb on her SiriusXM satellite radio show.
"What about Kelly? How often do you see her or speak to her?" Kotb asked Regis.
"I haven't seen her. I don't see her," he replied.
"You haven't seen her since the show ended?" he continued.
Regis answered, "No. I haven't."
"Does it bother you much?" Kotb asked again.
"No," he said.
Regis's farewell show was a huge celebration. After a year-long search he was replaced by Michael Strahan. The ratings have never been better.
And even though he may not speak to Kelly Ripa, Regis said he remains on good terms with Kathie Lee Gifford, his co-host of 15 years before Kelly came on board.
Kotb asked Regis, "You guys stayed very close didn't you?"
"I do see a lot of her," he responded.
