Dolly Parton Sings Duet with Young Down Syndrome Fan
It will be a day he will never forget.
Gage Blackwell is a huge Dolly Parton fan. When the music legend learned the 12-year-old boy with Down syndrome wanted to meet her, she made his dream come true by inviting him to a restaurant at her Dollywood theme park.
When they met, she made Blackwell feel very welcomed and even complimented him when she said, “Is that Kenny Rodgers? You look like Kenny Rodgers!” Blackwell smiled from ear-to-ear.
The two sang a few duets of Blackwell’s favorite country classics, and Dolly kicked-off a sing-a-long with everyone in the restaurant.
Blackwell wrote about the experience on his Facebook page when he said, “This is the best! I love Dolly, I want to marry her!”
It will definitely be a day he'll never forget.
