From the air, one can see that a palatial estate has a gorgeous lawn. But, right next door there's nothing but parched dirt, a victim of California's devastating drought. So, who owns the lush property? None other than Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

In ritzy Beverly Hills, you might not even think there was a water emergency. Experts predict that California reservoirs have less than a year's worth of drinking water left, but you wouldn't know it by looking at some celebrity homes.
Jessica Simpson's lawn looks great, but the neighborhood surrounding it is dry as a bone.
Cher's estate looks like she has impressive green grass and well-watered hedges.
As for Barbra Streisand, her spokesperson said, "She had cut down her water usage by over 50% in the last several months."

And a spokesperson for Kim and Kanye said, "Kim takes this drought seriously and has made some amendments to the property. She has no problem letting her grass go brown."
