Escaped killer Richard Matt was killed by law enforcement in Franklin County, New York, according to multiple reports.
After three weeks on the run, escaped killed Richard Matt was killed in gunfire on Friday by law enforcement officers, according to The New York Times and CNN.
The New York Times quotes law enforcement officials as saying that they were focusing on terrain in Franklin County, New York, in their hunt for the escaped prisoners. The area was near the two hunting cabins where investigators had earlier found the escapees’ DNA evidence.
