Jimmy Fallon Revealed His Gruesome Hand Injury: 'Usually They Cut Your Finger Off'
Jimmy Fallon returned to 'The Tonight Show' and revealed the details to the gruesome hand injury he sustained.
Jimmy Fallon returned to The Tonight Show last night after two weeks off.
His hand was still bandaged from his severe injury he sustained last month.
Upon returning, the host said: "I’m so happy to be back from our two week break. In fact, I was so excited I went around the office giving everyone I saw a high four."
Fallon explained his gruesome injury: "So, basically what happened is I tripped and fell in my kitchen on a braided rug that my wife loves and I can't wait to burn it down. And I tripped and fell and I caught my fall and I’m getting up and my finger is sideways. My ring got caught on the counter as I fell and the ring stayed there and pulled my finger off."
He underwent a six hour micro surgery procedure and is lucky to have his finger and was in the ICU for 10 days.
"Apparently the odds aren't great with these things. This happens a lot and usually they just cut your finger off,” he said.
He also mentioned that he won’t have feeling in his finger for eight weeks.
