Fallon explained his gruesome injury: "So, basically what happened is I tripped and fell in my kitchen on a braided rug that my wife loves and I can't wait to burn it down. And I tripped and fell and I caught my fall and I’m getting up and my finger is sideways. My ring got caught on the counter as I fell and the ring stayed there and pulled my finger off."
He underwent a six hour micro surgery procedure and is lucky to have his finger and was in the ICU for 10 days.
"Apparently the odds aren't great with these things. This happens a lot and usually they just cut your finger off,” he said.
