Katy Perry Sides with Nicki Minaj in Taylor Swift Twitter Feud
Katy Perry is throwing her hat in the ring and taking a jab at Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj over their recent Twitter feud.
Katy Perry has waded into the Twitter war of words between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj following the MTV Video Music Award nominations.
The “Firework” singer, who reportedly has a long-running feud with Swift, tweeted:
Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman...

The whole drama started when Swift’s song "Bad Blood" was nominated for Video of the Year but Minaj’s hit "Anaconda" was overlooked.

Minaj reacted to the slight by posting on Twitter.

Swift, who apparently took Minaj’s tweet personally, fired back.
@NICKIMINAJ I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot..

Minaj then responded:
Huh? U must not be reading my tweets. Didn't say a word about u. I love u just as much. But u should speak on this. @taylorswift13

Swift then attempted to clear the air.
@NICKIMINAJ If I win, please come up with me!! You're invited to any stage I'm ever on.

On Thursday, Swift took to Twitter again and this time apologized to Minaj:
I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I'm sorry, Nicki. @NICKIMINAJ

Meantime, Entertainment Weekly is apologizing after coming under fire for posting a picture of Swift and Minaj with a story about the feud.

In the photo, Swift looked angelic and Minaj looked a bit bizarre making a strange facial expression. Fans of the “Starships” singer lashed out calling the magazine "rude" and "biased."
Entertainment Weekly later tweeted:
An earlier version of our post on Taylor & Nicki used an insensitive juxtaposition of photos. It was a hasty choice—we sincerely apologize.
