Valerie Harper Collapses During Performance, Rushed to Hospital
Seventy-five-year-old actress Valerie Harper, starring in Nice Work If You Can Get It in Maine, was whisked away from the theater by an ambulance.
Valerie Harper collapsed while performing at a playhouse in Maine and was rushed to a local hospital.
The actress, best known as Rhoda on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2013. She was given only three to six months to live.

“I recently got an amazingly shocking diagnosis from my doctors,” she said at the time.
Incredibly, she went on to defy the odds and inspire fans by competing on Dancing With the Stars.
Now she’s suffered this new health scare. In a statement, the playhouse said Harper is "resting comfortably" and will remain hospitalized for observation. We wish her the best.
