The woman who called 911 to help Bono after his November bike accident was booed inside Madison Square Garden.
New Yorkers are never shy to voice their opinions - no less when a tourist comes to town and bashes their city.
And that's exactly what happened on Thursday when U2 frontman Bono invited a woman on stage to thank her for helping him following a bike crash last November.
But while she showed great compassion to the performer last year, she didn't extend the same kindness to the audience or its city.

At the sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden, Bono introduced the woman as Alyssa from Denver.
She took the microphone and said: “So I have to clarify, it’s Alyssa and I’m from D.C., not Denver."
She continued: "Here’s what happened: I was running in Central Park, there was an accident, obviously I had to stop and help because I’m not from New York, I’m from Virginia, where people are nice.”
The chorus of boos that rained down on Alyssa overtook her speech. Witnesses say expletives were even shouted as she continued talking.
The 55-year-old singer took back his microphone and continued with the show, while Alyssa walked off.
He also thanked the firemen and first responders who had helped him following the crash. The firemen dutifully expressed their gratitude to Bono for inviting them to the concert.
In last year's bike crash, Bono broke his arm in six places. Alyssa ran to his side and called 911. He has since recovered.
The band’s current Innocence + Experience Tour ends on Friday at Madison Square Garden before it will resume in Europe in September.
