INSIDE EDITION has the hottest dresses and the trends that ruled the red carpet at the 2010 Emmy Awards.
It's not a Hollywood awards ceremony without the colorful and exciting fashion choices of the stars.
The ladies of Mad Men were the center of attention on the red carpet. Christina Hendricks looked stunning in a strapless, curve-hugging lavender Zac Posen and Elisabeth Moss looked demure in a nude one-shouldered Donna Karan. January Jones made a bold statement in a strapless, structured electric blue Atelier Versace that's receiving mixed reviews from fashion critics. Jones told INSIDE EDITION's Deborah Norville she fell in love with the dress when she saw it months ago, calling it a work of art.
However, Lawrence Zarian, fashion stylist from the TV Guide Network, did not agree. "I love her passion for fashion, but for me it was a fashion misstep," he said.
2010 was the year of sparkle, shine, and lots of skin! TV's leading ladies sizzled on the red carpet in stunning shoulder-baring gowns.
"There was tons of strapless, simple elegance, bling, it's the Emmys!" says Alexis Chiu of People magazine.
And black, white, and navy were the hues that ruled the red carpet on television's biggest night.
Kate Gosselin, Eva Longoria Parker, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Paula Abdul wowed in black dresses. And Heidi Klum, also in black, was a knockout in a micro mini Marchesa dress.
Chiu says, "She was wearing something so short it was probably almost illegal in some states and she looked amazing!"
On the other end of the color spectrum, Mariska Hargitay, Kim Kardashian, Rose Byrne, and Dancing with the Stars's Brooke Burke all looked white hot!
Tina Fey combined trends in black and white beaded Oscar de la Renta.
Glee star Lea Michele looked gorgeous in her navy strapless gown with a ruffled skirt and Modern Family's Julie Bowen was a standout in midnight blue.
Jane Krakowski also had the red carpet blues in a custom-made one-shoulder Escada gown.
"I've never done that where they make it for you...it was lovely that way," she told INSIDE EDITION.
Sofia Vergara glowed with an extra dose of glamour in a gold beaded Carolina Hererra. The Modern Family star refused to walk the red carpet hungry. She posted a Twitter picture of herself snacking on pizza just before changing into her dress.
INSIDE EDITION's Deborah Norville also got into the sparkling gold trend with a custom-made dress by Ted Kim, the lead designer for Anne Klein. It was the perfect ensemble for TV's golden night!
