Mexican TV Station Uses Donald Trump's Speeches to Mock America Ahead of Soccer Match
Mexico's TV Azteca found a clever way to promote an upcoming soccer match between the U.S. and Mexico.
Donald Trump has made Mexico one of his biggest targets in his bid for the White House - and now the nation's soccer team is getting its own back.
Mexican television station TV Azteca used a recent Trump speech and spliced it with clips of the U.S. and Mexico battling on the soccer pitch to promote an upcoming match between the two countries.
Trump's speech is edited to warn that the U.S. is in "serious trouble.” He adds that "the American dream is dead” - while the ad cuts to the Mexican team and its fans celebrating their victories.
Team USA lost a friendly match against Brazil and Mexico tied Argentina last night. The USA and Mexico go head-to-head on October 10.
