Cops: Masked Man Wearing an Elvis Wig Robs Winery at Gunpoint
A masked robber allegedly took off with $400 in cash when he raided a California winery.
What was going to be a relaxing Sunday at a winery in California, turned out to be anything but when an alleged robbery took place at the Monarch Grove Winery tasting room in Grover Beach.
A man wearing what was described as an “old man mask” and Elvis wig showed a semi-automatic pistol to a tasting room owner Charie Wais before binding the victim’s wrist with duct tape and locking them in rest room, according to police.
The masked man stole about $400 in cash.
Wais told KEYT: "He asked for the cash, we gave him what we had."
The thief is still on the loose and believed to be in his 30s.
