Mom Repeatedly Injected Her 14-Year-Old Daughter With Heroin, Prosecutors Say

A mother injected her 14-year-old daughter with heroin on multiple occasions, prosecutors say.

Jessica Lynn Riffey, 34, allegedly supplied the girl and her 16-year-old boyfriend with heroin and injected them last month, even tying a string around their arms to isolate their veins, the Chester County district attorney’s office said.

Riffey, from West Caln Township, Pennsylvania, was charged with corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children and drug delivery, the Associated Press reported.

Cops reportedly say she admitted to giving them heroin on three occasions.

After failing to post bond, she was jailed in Chester County Prison in lieu of $50,000 and has a preliminary hearing on Friday, online records show. Court records do not list a lawyer for her.

Prosecutors also claim that Riffey’s boyfriend supplied the teenagers with heroin to snort, and he has reportedly been charged separately with drug dealing and other offenses.

The teenagers were found when police responded to a report and went to check on Riffey's trailer.

District Attorney Thomas Hogan said multiple people were using heroin at the home. He said the mother was supposed to be protecting her daughter but instead enabled her to do the drug.

“It’s hard to make that leap as a parent, to think how you end up in that position,” he said.
