13-Year-Old YouTube Star Caleb Bratayley Remembered at Memorial: 'He Could Light Up a Room'

Friends, family and fans remembered 13-year-old YouTube star Caleb Logan Bratayley during a memorial service on Tuesday night.

His baseball coach said: "He was so fun. He was easygoing. He never asked for anything. He just went along with the flow and his smile was definitely contagious. He could light up a room."
Fans tuned in to say goodbye to the boy they had seen grow up on screen as part of his family's popular YouTube channel, Bratayleys. Their real family name is LeBlanc.
A family friend said: "He truly was that crazy over-the-top kid who keeps you laughing all the time."
Following his sudden death last week, his mother issued this statement in an attempt to explain what had happened.

“Caleb's death has raised many questions about how and why this could happen to a seemingly healthy boy," she wrote. "Sadly, tests have confirmed that caleb passed away from an undetected medical condition.”
There is reportedly a history of a condition called “hypertrophic cardiomyopathy” in his family.
Cardiologist Holly Andersen told IE of the condition: “Sometimes, the first symptom of this condition is sudden death.”
