Two of their children, six-year-old Lulu and one-year-old Leo, were allegedly stabbed to death by their nanny, Yoselyn Ortega, as she watched them in the family's Upper West Side apartment in October 2012. Their third child, Nessie, was at a swimming lesson at the time and was not harmed.

Following the tragedy, the couple welcomed another child, Felix, in October 2013.

In the Facebook post on Friday, the couple wrote: "Nessie is excited about her new role as queen bee of the family and little Felix (who turns 2 this weekend) is thrilled to give up his crib to become roommates with Nessie in a new bunk bed!"

They continued: "With each new baby, we feel a special and closer connection to Lulu and Leo, who are a constant presence in their siblings’ looks, gestures and voices."

Following the deaths, the Krims launched a charity, the Lulu & Leo Fund, to raise money for children's art programs.

Ortega allegedly stabbed the siblings before cutting her own throat, but she survived, according to authorities. She has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and no trial date has yet been set.
