Hear Mets Fans Boo Chase Utley, Cheer For Limping Ruben Tejada at Citi Field
New York Mets fans are rejoicing after pounding the L.A. Dodgers following an emotional weekend.
New York Mets fans didn’t hold back their disdain when L.A. Dodger star Chase Utley was announced to the crowd at CitiField in Queens on Monday night.
A chorus of boos came down on the player two days after his controversial slide left Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada with a broken leg. But Tejada, who took to the field with a cane, received a hero’s welcome.

Tejada received a hero’s welcome as revenge was on the minds of many Mets fans who packed the stadium.
The New York Daily News brought a life size cardboard cutout of Utley on the subway ride out to field.
Fans in the subway cars poked fun at the cutout as if it was a real person.
One fan, known as Will from Queens, was so upset he called into the Mike Francesa sports radio show in tears.
Francesa told the man: “Will, are you crying? You're not really crying over this, I hope.”
Will from Queens got the surprise of his life when Francesa made arrangements to have the fan sit with him at the game.
Fortunately for Will and other Mets fans the home team ended up doing everything right - taking out their retribution on the field by clobbering the Dodgers 13-7.
