A three-year-old boy was found dead hours after he was reported missing from a New Jersey home, officials said.
The little boy, Brendan Link Creato, was reported missing at 6 a.m. on Tuesday from a family member's house on the 100 block of Cooper Street in Haddon Township, New Jersey, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office told reporters.
According to a neighbor who posted on Facebook, he went missing from his grandmother's home, wearing pajamas and Mickey Mouse slippers.
A K-9 unit tracked the child to a wooded area off South Park Drive and searchers discovered the boy's body shortly before 9 a.m., said Andy McNeil, the public information officer for the prosecutor's office.

A very "ongoing and active investigation" is still in place, and an autopsy will determine the child's cause of death, McNeil said.
