Spencer Stone Shows Scar, Reveals He Had Open Heart Surgery
Stone was released from hospital last week after the brutal stabbing in Sacramento.
A dramatic photo has emerged of American hero Spencer Stone’s zipper-like surgical scar following his stabbing earlier this month in a Sacramento bar brawl.

The U.S. Air Force airman, who helped take down a terrorist on train in France, had to undergo open-heart surgery after being stabbed four times outside a California club on Oct. 8. The 23-year-old was struck in the heart, lung, liver and back, a family member revealed on a recently established gofundme account.
His injuries were much more serious than previously thought.

Authorities have also released sketches of two suspects, described as Asian or Filipino, seen leaving the club in a late-model Toyota Camry.

Stone’s medical costs are being covered by the military. The fundraising site is to help family members who have lost wages while helping to care for Stone.
In August, Stone and friends Anthony Sadler and Alek Skarlatos, of “Dancing With the Stars,” took down terrorist gunman on a Paris-bound train.
