She became an overnight heroine when the surveillance tape hit the Internet.
She told INSIDE EDITION: "I am a little confrontational, I guess. I am sort of a take-charge mother and I guess that was just my mother reaction."
She was asleep in the bedroom when the three young men broke into her home around 9 a.m. on Monday morning, she said.
One was holding a crow bar as he came up the staircase, she said.
One grabbed her purse as the other two ran around her house, she said.
