Channing Tatum and Hugh Jackman have graced the cover in recent years, but did you know that the very first sexiest man alive was Mel Gibson, way back in 1985?
Richard Gere, Nick Nolte, Harrison Ford and Sean Connery were all in their 50's when they received the title.
Who was the youngest? That would be JFK, Jr. He was 27 when he was selected. He is also the only non-actor ever to be named.
Here's a fun fact -- the shortest “Sexiest Man” was Tom Cruise. The actor stands 5’9” tall.
While we wait for the People issue to reveal their choice, GQ has named its “Man of the Year.”
The title is going to President Obama.
He spoke to sports writer Bill Simmons about his presidency, his family, gun control and sports.
