Kim Kardashian Gives Birth to a Baby Boy Weeks Before Her Due Date

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed a baby boy early Saturday, three weeks before the reality star's Christmas day due date.

Kardashian, 35, posted a selfie of herself in the mirror as her contractions began Friday night, along with the message, "Ready whenever you are. LOL"

Kardashian and West, who is 38, officially announced the birth on Kardashian's personal website.

"Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West welcomed the arrival of their son this morning," read a message addressed to fans. "Mother and son are doing well."

The baby boy's name was not revealed, but speculation about whether they will continue the cardinal direction trend started with the birth of now 2-year-old North West has been rampant since Kardashian announced her second pregnancy.

Some guessed the would name the boy Easton to carry on the tradition. However, Kardashian soon shot that rumor down, saying:

“I don’t think we’ll go another direction."
