Canadian Mall Puts Stylish Spin on St. Nick With 'Fashion Santa'
For every selfie taken with the dapper St. Nick posted to social media with the hashtag "#YorkdaleFashionSanta," the mall will donate one dollar to charity
A mall in Canada put a twist on a tried-and-true Christmas tradition and is offering a chance to take a selfie with a different kind of Santa Claus.
The Yorkdale Mall in Toronto has made it possible for shoppers to take a selfie with a younger, thinner and stylish “Fashion Santa” as part of a charity campaign.
For every selfie taken with St. Nick, played by model Paul Mason, and posted to social media with the hashtag “#YorkdaleFashionSanta,” the mall will donate one dollar to the Sick Kids Foundation, up to $10,000.
Mason has been a fashion model for 30 years and collaborated with the mall to develop the character.
