A Minnesota mother made the basket of a lifetime when she sunk a half-court shot at her daughter’s school, guaranteeing her half-off tuition for next year.
Angela Ramey closed her eyes, bent down and swung the ball as hard as she could at the net, but it fell short of the basket at Bethany Academy, a video shows.
She thought that was the end of her chance, but after the ball bounced once, it made it through the net, earning Ramey $5,000 off the 2016 tuition at the school.
“What?!” Ramey shouts in disbelief as her daughter jumps up and down and the crowd cheers. “Are you serious?!”
“Thank you for taking a video of this!” her little girl yells.
The lucky mom won a chance to take the half-court shot after her family raised the most money during a school fundraiser to help feed the hungry.
