NBA star DeMarcus Cousins surprised a local family with a new car and brought them to tears.
Sacramento Kings star DeMarcus Cousins brought a local family to tear when he surprised them with a new car.
The unsuspecting family was posing for pictures in team jerseys on the Sleep Train Arena court, where the Kings play, when Cousins drove up in a brand new car.
Maurice Williams, who with Selena Pena have three daughters, has been unable to find a job without a car.
The family was invited for a private tour of the arena and was picked up in an RV provided by the Kings. They were then able to drive off and head back home in new wheels.
The event was part of the Kings’ Season of Doing Good where the team partners with community leaders to do various good deeds for families and fans in the area.
“It's a belief that, together, our employees, players, fans and community can build a stronger region," Kings Over and Chairmen Vivek Randive said in a press release.
"This holiday season we look forward to joining our community in the giving spirit.”
