Reports surfaced that she had throat cancer after she postponed her world tour last month. The singer told fans that she needed surgery but did not explain why.

At the time she wrote on Facebook: "I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon....Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time."
She is set to return to the stage in March.
