45 Years After 'Love Story,' The Movie's Stars Return to Harvard

Forty-five years after starring in Love Story, Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal have returned to Harvard University.

They even showed up in an antique convertible, similar to the one used in the classic romance film.
Now in their 70s, the actors said being back on the campus where they made the movie brought back wonderful memories.
“It was a wonderful, wonderful adventure that was followed by some pretty dramatic stuff in my private life,” she told Yahoo! Movies.
MacGraw, 76, and O’Neal, 74, are currently in Boston co-starring in the play Love Letters.

The film, which was a box office success when it was released in December 1970, made the actors household names. It also received seven Oscar nominations and contained the classic line: “Love means never having to say you’re sorry.”
