“I look at my kids and my grandchildren and I know how much they need me,” she tearfully told the TV doctor.
The episode aired Tuesday. Just day later, Big Ang died at the age of 55.
Dr. Oz described her condition at the taping: “She was a bit frail. She was out of breath doing simple things. I think she was trying to be brave. But Big Ang was scared. And that's the reality for anyone who's facing the possibility of death.”
Big Ang was a heavy smoker who learned in December that her throat cancer was spreading.

Dr. Oz says she had a last wish.
“The main reason Big Ang came on the show was to make sure she got off her chest the reality is that cigarettes killed her. She wanted to make sure that every single person could see the pain caused in her face so they would never go with a cigarette the way she had for most of her life,” he said.
