Father of the Bride Who Disappeared During Wedding Reception Found Dead, Police Say

Father of the bride who went missing from wedding reception has been found dead, authorities say.
A father who went missing after walking away from his daughter's wedding reception has been found dead, California authorities said Tuesday.
The body of Prasad Moparti, 55, was found floating in a slough about five miles downstream from the ornate mansion where his family was celebrating, Sacramento County officals said.

Foul play is not suspected, Sheriff's authorites said. An autopsy is pending.
Moparti had given his daughter away on Feb. 13 in a lavish, traditional Indian ceremony. He had journeyed from India in January for the wedding.
He had taken a walk during the reception at Grand Island Mansion was never seen alive again.
Frantic relatives had searched for days, and the bride and groom postponed their honeymoon to look for Moparti, who had been described as depressed in the days leading up to the marriage.

Authorities suspended their search after three days, declaring him a voluntarily missing person.
"Because of Moparti's lack of knowledge of the area and his depression, the Sheriff's Department utilized all resources available in attempts to locate him," said Sgt. Tony Turnbull, The Associated Press reported.
Investigators said they don't know whether Moparti's death was accidental. "We may never know what happened," Turnbull said.
