Cops Pull Over a Car Carrying Gladys Knight, Get the Concert of a Lifetime
It was a birthday gift he will never forget.
Police officers in Utah got the surprise of their lives when they pulled over a car carrying legendary singer Gladys Knight.
Pleasant Grove Police Capt. Mike Roberts and Officer Paul Rogerson stopped the car for allegedly speeding. When Rogerson was checking the driver’s license, she said Knight was on board.
The women were on their way to a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints choir practice. Knight is a Mormon convert and was going to speak at the gathering.
Rogerson told the singer it was his birthday, so she got out of the car and sang “Happy Birthday” to him.
He let Knight and the driver go with a warning.
