Meet The Former NYPD Detective Who Now Works as Trump's Personal Bodyguard
Keith Schiller jumped into action when a protester rushed the stage in Ohio.
Keith Schiller is never far from Donald Trump’s side.
The bodyguard to the billionaire was there protecting his boss from the stage crasher in Ohio over the weekend and was seen getting mixed up with a protestor outside Trump Tower six months ago, where he tore down a sign calling Trump a racist.
When the protester tried to get the banner back Schiller he punched him and calmly walked away.
When Trump ordered Univision anchorman Jorge Ramos out of a press conference last August, it was the 57-year-old bodyguard who firmly escorted the broadcaster out.
Trump and Schiller go way back.
Sometimes, the bodyguard serves as a prop, as in a staged smack down between Trump WWE head honcho Vince McMahon in 2007.
Schiller is a former NYPD detective who has been Trump's Head Of Security for 16 years.
Former Secret Service agent Jonathan Wachrow told IE: "This is a very high risk, high stress environment that they are in. Their head has to be on a swivel at all times."
Wachrow said that Schiller and Trump's relationship is "built out of trust" and that the bodyguard has been "put in a very difficult position to protect a very exposed individual with a lot of risk."
