Tracy Morgan Says He Went To Heaven After Crash, Spoke to His Late Father
The comedian opened up to Oprah about the experience.
Tracy Morgan says he thinks he went to heaven, where he was reunited with his late father, following his 2014 crash.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey that will air on Sunday, the star opened up about the near-death experience in June 2014. His limo van was involved in a multi-vehicle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike, leaving him in critical condition and killing his friend, fellow comedian James "Jimmy Mack" McNair.
In the interview, Winfrey asked: "What are you most grateful for now?"
"Life," he responded. "Just life."
While in a coma following the crash, he believes he went to heaven and encountered his long deceased father, Morgan told Winfrey.
"I just remember him saying, 'I'm not ready for you, son,'" he said. 'I started crying so hard."
The interview airs Sunday on OWN.
