Megyn Kelly Reveals What Happened When She Went to Trump Tower to 'Clear The Air'
Trump said the Fox News anchor was "very nice."
Donald Trump and Fox News’ Megyn Kelly are making peace.
The Fox News anchor spoke about her meeting with the presidential hopeful on The Kelly File on Wednesday night.
“You may have heard the today that yours truly took a trip over to Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York City," she said. "There I had a meeting with Donald Trump. We met for about an hour, just the two of us. And had a chance to clear the air.”
She added: “By the way, in case you were wondering, yes, the door men appeared a bit stunned when I walked in. And they, too, were incredibly gracious.”
An hour later on Hannity, host Sean Hannity asked Trump about the meeting - and the crowd booed at the mention of her name.
“Well, you know, she called last week," he said. "And they set up a meeting. They said, 'could we come up?' and I said: 'Would you come to Trump Tower?' I didn't want any confusion. And she did, and she was very, very nice. We had a meeting. She was very nice."
It's a change of tune from Trump, who has previously called Kelly "overrated" and even "crazy." His personal attacks have triggered concern about how he treats women.
