A Georgia man was arrested over the weekend after police say he was found passed out drunk with his intoxicated toddler nearby.
Police in Gainesville say Marcus Allen, 20, was sleeping off a buzz while his 3-year-old son was in his care on Saturday.
A concerned family member reportedly called authorities after arriving home to find Allen unresponsive in his bedroom with the boy, who was allegedly acting abnormally while reeking of alcohol.

Police told WXIA that Allen had been drinking a fruity alcoholic cocktail that was in a water bottle with a straw. Police reportedly believe the child had been sipping the cocktail while his father was passed out.
Both the boy and his father were transported to a nearby hospital, where police say the boy's blood alcohol level was close to twice the legal driving limit for an adult.
"Had the child ingested more alcohol, it could have been fatal," Gainesville Police Deputy Chief Jay Parrish said.
