Heartstopping Moment Cop Helps Save Driver Pinned Beneath Burning Car

Heartstopping video shows the moment an Alaska cop and several other heroes helped rescue a man pinned beneath his burning car.
According to a Facebook post from the Anchorage Police Department, Officer Mitchel Veenstra was dispatched to respond to a vehicle that had rolled and caught on fire along a wooded road.

The driver, who was the only occupant of the SUV, had his arm trapped under the vehicle and could not get free, police said.
As Veenstra's dash cam rolls, he and several other bystanders try and fail to get the driver's arm out from under the vehicle as the flames continue to grow above him.

When the group all pitches in with a good shove, Veenstra and four others are finally get the man out before he's consumed by fire.
"Thanks to the heroic acts of nearby citizens and Officer Veenstra, a life was saved on this day," wrote the APD.
