See Inside the Messy Apartment Believed to Belong to Orlando Nightclub Gunman
The images taken inside the Fort Pierce, Florida, apartment give a glimpse into the life of Omar Mateen and his family.
Coffee cups on the kitchen counter, Frozen toys and family mementos — these photos shared by DailyMail.com could show the inside of any American family home.
But the images were actually taken inside the Fort Pierce, Florida, apartment where Orlando gunman Omar Mateen lived with his wife and their 3-year-old son.
In the master bedroom, a messy dresser is loaded with perfumes and gifts while in the kitchen, there are still piles of dishes in the sink.
Photos displayed throughout the home show the family enjoying activities together, while the boy's room is filled with toys, baseball caps, Star Wars posters and a kid-sized grill.
By the front door, there's even a Christmas-themed doormat and a decorative wreath.
There's also a Florida firearm license in Mateen's name left out on a counter.
Mateen had lived at the apartment since 2011, when he divorced his first wife.
Investigators looked through the home Sunday after Mateen, 29, opened fire in the Pulse nightclub, killing 49 people and injuring 53 others before he was shot dead by police.
