Toby Tassmer gave a detailed account to Metro Nashville Police of how he killed his friend, 58-year-old Robin Bell, cops say.
A Tennessee man is behind bars after police say he confessed to killing his friend with a knife and a beer stein.
Metro Nashville Police arrested Toby N. Tassmer on Friday after he called police, telling them to go to the home of his friend, 58-year-old Robin Bell.

Police say Bell was killed in her apartment, where she was found beaten and stabbed.
Tassmer then gave officers a "detailed confession into the incident," according to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Tennesseean.
The 53-year-old has since been booked on a criminal homicide charge.

Police say Tassmer and Bell were friends. Neighbors reportedly heard fighting from Bell's apartment earlier in the day.
Tassmer's bond is set at $500,000. He's due in court July 12.
