Lip Reader Reveals What Trump Said During Cruz's Speech: 'Do You Think I Made A Mistake?'
The Trump family appeared outraged as Ted Cruz addressed the RNC crowd.
Ted Cruz received much more than just boos and jeers during his RNC speech — he also got an unexpected visit from Donald Trump.
As Cruz refused to endorse Trump, the GOP presidential nominee sat down next to his daughter, Ivanka, and whispered something in her ear.
Lip reader Larry Wenig told Inside Edition that Trump said: "Do you think I make a mistake?" It was an apparent reference to letting Cruz speak at the convention in the first place.
During his speech inside Quicken Loans Arena, Cruz urged people to "vote your conscience," failing to endorse Trump or even mention him by name.
He was met with a chorus of jeers and boos. The audience chanted: “Endorse Trump! Endorse Trump!”
Cruz's wife Heidi had to be escorted out by security as an angry crowd of Trump supporters taunted her following the speech.
Eric Trump, who spoke after Cruz’s controversial speech at the RNC, says the Texas senator has “committed political suicide.”
Eric spoke to Inside Edition following his remarks where he praised his father, saying: "[His speech] didn't represent him well at all. I think he committed political suicide."
