Florida Beauty Queen Loses Crown as It's Revealed She Had Face Professionally Done
After the ouster, meet the new Miss Florida USA: Linette De Los Santos.
Following a week of scandal, a new Miss Florida USA has been crowned.
Linette De Los Santos was the runner-up in the contest and is now the reigning queen, thanks to a makeup debacle.
Original winner Genesis Davila had her face done up professionally, a violation of pageant rules. Contestants are supposed to do it themselves.
Davila was busted after she posted a photo on Instagram showing a professional makeup artist working on her face.
The photos didn't come to light until after she was crowned, which was when the other contestants apparently started complaining.

De Los Santos spoke to Inside Edition with the pageant director Gary Gavitt, and said of Davila: “She's a smart girl and she's a nice girl, but at the end of the day she made an unfortunate choice.”
Gavitt added: "She sought an unfair advantage and was caught."
Davila, whose crown was taken away, denies she broke any rules.
