Debra Messing Apologizes After Slamming Blake Shelton for Trump Comments
The actress said her 'passions' got the best of her.
The Will & Grace star lashed out at Shelton for telling Billboard magazine: "Whether you love him [Trump] or hate him, he says what he thinks, and he has proven that you don't always have to be so afraid."
Messing tweeted to his girlfriend Gwen Stefani: “Omg. How? @gwenstefani please talk to your man to not vote for the person who will strip you of your rights.”
Shelton responded: "I haven't [endorsed] anybody for president. And [I’m] not going to."
“Ok- I regret commenting. My passions got the better of me. Sorry. @gwenstefani @blakeshelton," the actress tweeted.
The Voice judge and country singer accepted the apology, telling Messing: "Thank you sis.. I don't endorse anybody. For this very reason!!"
