Conscientious Burglar Calls 911 on Himself After Holding Girlfriend at Gunpoint: Cops
Zachary Cheek allegedly entered the home of his ex-girlfriend armed with a gun and later called 911 on himself.
An alleged Florida burglar took a novel approach to his getaway recently when cops say he simply called them directly instead of wasting time trying to flee.
Zachary Cheek was arrested by the Melbourne Police Department after he reportedly called 911 on himself for entering a home and holding the occupants at gunpoint.

Cheek had been under the influence of alcohol at the time, cops said.
After a period of time, Cheek allegedly left the home before calling 911 in order to turn himself in.
"Apparently he knew the victims. He just walked into the home and threatened one of the occupants," Lt. Steve Sadoff of the Melbourne Police Department told the Florida Times.
